Bomb Scare in Kingston!
By .

On the 13th of August, I had gone to ‘Shakeaway’ with a couple of friends for a little hang out, having attended a lovely photography course (a tiring and hectic photographic course as well). However, my journey there was even worse; getting on the ’71′ with annoyed business men and women and chattering granddads and grandmas (somehow, all the old people know each other). So, my whole morning was terrifying. I then realised soon enough that my whole day would be terrifying.

‘Shakeaway’ sounded like a great idea to refresh ourselves. Unfortunately, the rain let us down. Yes, we all like the rain: its good to look at, splendid to play in, but when you’re wearing your best clothes and have your best ever hair do, the rain is a bit of a pain in the arse.

We were in Kingston trying to find a place to stay dry, when my friend got a call. We were informed that all roads to and from Kingston were blocked. Getting wet in Kingston with no where to go was pretty scary.

We decided to go to ‘Bentalls’ to find our other friends (apparentlystranded as well) when we heard sirens. Now we were terribly scared. Weird ideas passed our heads, I thought armed shoplifters were on the loose and we would all be murdered (A bit of an exaggeration, I know, but that is what happens when your stranded with no where to go and police sirens are everywhere).

Soon, (precisely at 1.30pm) we found out that there was some sort of package in M&S. (Not a food package, certainly). A bomb perhaps, I thought. If I was a little kid I’d be fascinated but I was smart enough to realise that if that bomb went off, I would obviously be dead.

Luckily, the police sorted it all out (or the bomb squad, I guess, but who cares, it was over).

So that was pretty much my terrifying day…
The annoying bus ride
The Hectic course
Being stranded in Kingston with a suspected bomb
(Not to mention the ride BACK home in the bus and having mum hug me after finding me alive and well)

How lovely…
